2 Additional Pick Up Times for Jog-A-Thon Prizes!

Santa's Secret Workshop Dec 12-13

Marguerita students will have the opportunity to buy presents for friends, teachers, and relatives. The goal is to instill the joy of giving but also to teach the children about currency and help them use their math skills. Each gift is in the one dollar to five dollar range. This will be during lunch and recess and only two days. *Please note the change as we lack space and volunteers.

The Marguerita PTA wishes you the Happiest of Holidays. Thank you for your support in helping Marguerita and making it an atmosphere of learning and enriching your child's life.

Santa's Secret Shop Needs Volunteers

At Santa's "Secret Shop" students buy gifts for their teachers, friends, and family. The gifts are sold at really low prices (e.g. $1-$5), so that it's really just a service to the students during this special time of year. 

This year Santa's Shop will be open on Dec 12 - 13, and the kids will shop during their recesses and lunch times. Volunteers will help the kids select gifts and wrap them, as well as keep the shop tidy. We also need two cashiers per shift. It will be in the library.

Your child is free to wear non-uniform clothing (but must still comply with AUSD dress standards). Just remember to wear your sticker too and enjoy!

Those who did not earn the free dress day must still wear their uniforms.

Prizes pick up will be tomorrow morning in the cafeteria from 7:30-8:30 a.m. If you cannot pick up, please email us to let us know if someone else will pick up for you or whether we can send the prize home with your child.

Jog-A-Thon Free Dress Day 12/10

The Jog-A-Thon Free Dress Day is Monday December 10. If your child earned a free dress day, please look for the stickers going home this week. Your child is free to wear non-uniform clothing (but must still comply with AUSD dress standards). Wear your sticker that day so that school staff know that you participated in the Jog-A-Thon and earned the Free Dress Day!

Those who did not earn the free dress day must still wear their uniforms that day.

Pennies for Presents

Pennies for Presents through 12/7! Only 3 more days!

Our PTA will be donating gift cards to some of our families that need assistance during this holiday season. Each classroom has a container in which each child can bring in any loose change and place it in the container. Your family can donate pennies, quarters, nickels, dimes, or dollars. The change will be used towards purchasing the gift certificates. Marguerita PTA appreciates your help!

Jog-A-Thon Prize Winners

Pizza and popsicle party dates will be announced soon. Additional donations are still trickling in, so we hope to announce how much we raised by the time we have the parties!

Some lappers tied for the top spot in their class, and OneZo was generous enough to donate enough gift cards to cover the ties!

We additionally awarded the golden raffle ticket holders with $25 Scholastic Dollars per ticket as gratitude for their amazing fundraising.

All other prizes on this list will be available to be PICKED UP on Wednesday morning from 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m at the school. Please email us if you are unable to make it and you'd rather we give the prize to your child to take home.

The Jog-A-Thon Committee and Marguerita PTA Board appreciate your support for this big event. We consider it a very successful fundraiser because not only did we fundraise enough money to support this year's programs, but we also built school spirit, had tremendous student and parent/volunteer participation, and raised school pride. Math Night Volunteers Needed

Math Night (12/14) is approaching quickly, and Marguerita is looking for volunteers and a few door prizes.

It's Jog-a-Thon Raffle Week! A note will be sent home letting you know the number of raffle tickets your child has earned. The raffle will take place during school hours THIS THURSDAY. Contact us if you don't get the letter -- we can email it to you too.

We encourage you to talk to your child about what they would like to win. Here is the final prize sheet. We now have 10 tablets to give away, and there's a new General Raffle at the end! There's a lot to go through, so please give us a shout with any questions.

What a day!

Hope you Marguerita families rested up after the eventful day.
