Cook’s Night Out Fundraiser

Together, we raised $411!  A huge thanks for your support last week at Blaze Pizza for our first Cook's Night Out.  We did an amazing job raising funds for the school. Thanks for reaching out to us and we are excited for the next one in October. Stay tuned!

ROCKStar Store Grand Opening

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

The ROCKStar Store is having its grand opening on Friday September 27! Students will be able to shop during their recesses with the ROCKStar money they have been earning for positive behavior. The school would like to have some parent volunteers, who have completed background checks and are cleared to volunteer, to help with crowd control. The ROCKstar Store will be open from 8:50-10:45. Please sign up on our online signup sheet and check back later as the other store dates for the rest of the year get added.

Thank You for Shopping at Book Fair Family Night

We just wrapped up a successful book fair family night. Thank you to both shoppers and volunteers for your support. A special thank you to our dear Principal Johnson for staying late personally to make it possible for parents to visit book fair in person. With all of your support, we are looking forward to be able to hold more family nights for future book fairs.

Family Night at the Book Fair

Check out our 8th graders at the book fair!  Tonight is Family Night at the book fair. Stop by between 5-6:30pm to purchase any books on your child's wishlist. Some of our teachers also have a list of books they'd like to have for their classroom. You can donate books to your child's teacher tonight as well. See you at the library!

It's Book Fair Time!

Our Scholastic book fair begins tomorrow! Your child will have the opportunity to purchase books throughout the week. You are welcome to send money to school with your child to visit the book fair. There is also an opportunity to shop together during Family Night on Thursday, September 19th, 5-6:30pm.

Book Fair Needs You

We need more volunteers for book fair next week. It's great so many of you jump in and signed up to help so quickly in just 2 days, but it has slowed down a bit on day 3. There are still 89 slots (yellow slots in attached calendar screenshot) to fill as of 9/12 morning. We also need more help for Thu 5-6:30pm (not shown on the calendar).

We do need more cashiers. The cash register is on a touch screen running Android. It literally works just like a tablet. It is very intuitive with a built-in tutorial to practice test sales on it. If you can comfortable using a tablet, you can be a cashier.

Book Fair Needs Volunteers!

It's Fall Scholastic Book Fair time! We need LOTS of volunteers. Please sign up and help spread the word to your friends and invite them to help us have the best Book Fair ever.

You only need level 1 clearance with Alhambra Unified School District in order to participate. Volunteer roles include: set up & break down, cashier, and shopping assistant. Each slot is in 1 hour shift. You are encouraged to sign-up for as many slots/roles as you can.

Here is an outline of the volunteer schedule:
# 9/16-9/20 @ 8am-2pm: Cashier, Shopping Assistant
# 9/19 @ 5pm-6:30pm: Cashier, Shopping Assistant (Family Night)
# 9/13 @ 3pm-5pm: Setup
# 9/20 @ 2pm-3pm: Break Down
